Avatar: Pumpkin State

So, I like to carve pumpkins. I'm not nearly as amazing as a lot of the pumpkin (and watermelon!) carvers I see online and here on dA, but I do what I can and I have fun.

Two years ago (I think, may have been three), I was at a loss for ideas until I saw my shelf of DVDs. I had an awesome green, large pumpkin, and it had to have an awesome design to do it justice. There was Aang, in all his Avatar glory, and thus my first partial-thickness carving happened.

I just wish I had better pictures, but my camera at the time was pretty old and the lighting was bad, and I just flat out forgot to ever get better pictures. Because of that, I'm uploading two, one with the light and one without. The light obscures too much of the arrow and face detail (what I could get in, at least).

And yes, I know, the cover art specifically showed his Avatar state side and his non-Avatar state side to show his conflicting natures. That's too hard to pull off on a pumpkin, for me at least, and his full state looks awesome.

PS: As lame as my titles are, this is called the "Aangkin" in my picture folders, so this is an upgrade.
